We are currently looking for a business alliance manager for our client in San Francisco.
The Business Alliance Manager will be involved in developing relationships with key partners to further the market acceptance of our client's products.
The Alliance Manager will act as the driver at the corporate level of Client's software and hardware partners (ISV/IHV) and facilitate the relationship and involvement of Client's Field Marketing and Sales team at a regional level when appropriate. The Alliance Manager is responsible for corporate development and support of ISV/IHV targets and for the regional support of all ISV/IHV partner activities. They will act as primary driver for the ISV/IHV working with Marketing and Sales to define and coordinate sales and marketing activities. Activities include the development of marketing, product and technology initiatives, partner management and training, event and promotion development and execution. This position will also require a strong ability to leverage other groups within Client's, its field and the partner as well, to get this work done.

Strong business judgment with the ability to define the broader business or customer implications of specific decisions. Strong oral and written communications skills, including the ability to influence at the executive level. Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Technical aptitude, including the ability to comprehend and communicate technical concepts and their product implications. 5+ yrs experience in Sales, Business Development or Alliance Mgmt experience required. Alliance/Business Development experience calling on SW companies directly - VMware, Oracle, SAP, experience a plus BA/BS, MBA preferred.
Ability and willingess to travel.(30% national travel is anticipated in this position)
