Job Description:
Darigold is seeking a motivated Trade Funds Specialist to be a part of Darigold’s Consumer Products Division. The Trade Funds Specialist is responsible for understanding the customer trade program and assisting the sales force in managing trade spend. The Trade Fund Specialist’s role is to ensure that the settlement of the deal is done promptly and accurately.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Work with A/R to identify valid non-trade related deductions and ensure that they are accurately expensed and accounted for.
Work with A/R to identify invalid deductions and charge them back in a timely manner.
Assist in collection efforts as required.
Enter data in multiple systems to accurately account for trade spending and settlement of the offered trade and promotional spending.
Review data created.
Validate and ensure that all trade spend done by the sales people is allowed under Darigold trade programs.
Contact internal/external customers to make sure they understand their programs and what paperwork and data is needed to settle the deals.
Prepare check requests, credit memos, etc. when such are required to settle deals.
Work closely with the sales team to identify trade spends that are not getting adequate return on investment.
Special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good computer skills: Excel and Word
Familiar with Internet applications
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Good research skills
Familiar with accounting procedures/concepts
Education, Experience and Certifications:
Accounting/business background
2 – 3 years applicable work experience
