Currently, we are seeking an experienced Planner I to
support mill production scheduling in Global Nonwovens in Roswell Georgia.
This position is responsible for production scheduling to meet customer service requirements while minimizing manufacturing and distribution cost and the corporate inventory investment. The position requires the incumbent to communicate clearly and openly with both mill operations regarding production schedules and the staff planning group regarding capacity issues. The incumbent must actively participate in problem solving and process improvements with mill, staff and customer teams. This individual is also expected to lead and/or participate in various projects which support achieving both mill and staff objectives.
Responsibilities:
*Analyze and create machine operating schedules that support maximizing machine and labor efficiency, and efficiently utilizing material and storage space resources while meeting customer service requirements.
*Develop inventory management techniques through the use of advanced tools to effectively support operations while minimizing inventories and maintaining customer service requirements.
* Work with internal customers to coordinate schedules and establish priorities when required to prevent customer service issues.
* Manage material rollovers to meet or exceed obsolete inventory write-off objectives.
*Provide on-call support to the production sites.
*Participate in monthly capacity plan reviews and communicate gaps between tactical and long term plans.
*Provide a logistics perspective on business issues
* Lead and participate in the development and implementation of cost reduction activities and projects. Provide timely and accurate analysis when required.
*Communicate fully with superiors and other team members in a manner that is timely, complete, concise and responsive.
*Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Business, or related field
-1-3 years Logistics experience
-Knowledge of and experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning system

Preferred Qualifications:
-Working knowledge of supply chain interactions
-Multi-lingual capabilities a plus
-Knowledge of and experience with SAP and Business Warehouse
-Willingness to relocate for career advancement
