Description:
Our client is seeking a Sr. Production SQL Server DBA for a permanent position in Atlanta. We are only seeking local Atlanta area candidates, who do not require sponsorship.
Requirements:
Production DBA Profile
Installation and deployment of SQL Server instances and databases
Evaluation and application of SQL Server Service Packs
Administration of Microsoft Cluster Services
SAN administration (EMC, Hitachi HDS, NetApp, etc)
Experience with mission critical OLTP high transaction volume systems
Experience with SLAs requiring High Availability, 24/7, and defined Disaster Recovery plans
Experience with defined Change Management procedures
Ongoing performance monitoring
SQL Profiler, traces, PerfMon (Windows Performance Monitor), DMVs, MDW, possibly Quest Spotlight or Idera SQLdm
Backup and Recovery
Usage of a third party backup like Litespeed or Red Gate
Disaster Recovery Planning
Scheduled Maintenance
Maintenance Plans, Index Rebuild/Reorganization/DBCC, SQL Agent Jobs
Administration of tens of servers/instances and DBs over 100GB
Administration of replication, log shipping, mirroring
Security Administration
Automation of routine tasks
T-SQL Scripting, Batch Files, scripting languages like VBScript, PowerShell, SQLcmd, etc
5+ years SQL Server experience
3+ years SQL Server 2005 experience required
Some experience with SQL Server 2008 is a plus
