Description:
LGS Innovations is seeking a Junior Network Engineer for the Columbia, MD office. This person will work with a team of network engineers in a laboratory environment validating a network design. This junior network engineer will install, integrate and configure numerous network devices.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Install and configure Cisco devices in lab environment using TCP/IP, DNS, and Firewalls.
Plan, set up and maintain Email and web servers
Plan, write, set-up, and execute test plans
Build, configure and manage Windows and UNIX servers
Provide documentation, as needed.
Prepare classified and unclassified documents for review during meetings or between meetings via email correspondence
Candidate should have a background with Cisco hardware to include knowledge of routers and catalyst switches. Experience with Windows and Unix servers would also be desirable.
Required:
Self-starter, with experience dealing with experienced engineers
Good communication skills
Two years experience in the Intelligence Community
Five years experience in with Cisco routers and switches, Microsoft and/or UNIX servers
Experience using MS Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
TS-SCI Clearance with Full Scope polygraph
Education:
Desired: Bachelor’s Degree or work experience equivalent
