Description:
Prudential is looking for an attorney for the Employment & Labor (E&L) Law Unit of the Law Department. The E&L Unit provides legal advice and guidance on employment and labor issues for the entire Company. Responsibilities include: (1) overseeing an active litigation docket including managing outside counsel; (2) responding to complaints and charges filed with federal and state agencies; (3) responding to attorney demand letters; (4) conducting and overseeing EEO and other employment related investigations; (5) providing training on employment related issues; (6) analyzing new employment laws and regulations to determine applicability to the Company and working with appropriate areas to ensure compliance; and (7) providing legal advice to internal clients on a daily basis.
This position reports to the Chief Legal Officer, Employment & Labor, who is responsible for managing four lawyers and two paralegals.
