Description:
The RNDC Regional Training Manager will be responsible for the refinement of field selling techniques through consistent evaluation and training of the sales organization, tracking performance and progress and assisting all sales management in the coaching and development of their respective sales and management teams. This position will support the Mid-Atlantic region, and the selected candidate may be based in the Baltimore, MD, Washington DC or Northern Virginia area. Position start date is January 4, 2010. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: · Conducts a variety of sales training programs for sales representatives and management. · Conducts third party work withs (coaching the coach) to reinforce sales training and coaching for first line managers. Tracks manager coaching guides and maintains records of number and quality of work withs completed by each manager. Reviews paperwork on all manager work withs for completion and relevance within training deadlines. · Conducts personnel assessments in the field, keeping detailed records for performance evaluation. Will maintain an active file on all work withs for all divisions. Is responsible for providing timely feedback to all locations for their performance against training objectives (i.e., coaching report card). · Is an active participant on the senior management team of assigned markets with the primary purpose to drive awareness, accountability, acceptance, and consistent implementation of training processes. Act as the liaison with suppliers on supplier training programs. · Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in all of areas of expenditures related to training (adherence to training budget). Education/Experience/Additional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university is preferred; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous sales experience with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler with both on and off premise experience. Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel; and legacy databases. Spanish and/or other bilingual abilities preferred. Candidate must be able to operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis. Travel 50% within market area.
