Description:
What's IT like at Nike? Some things are a given. Like getting to work with the latest applications and technology. And being surrounded by full-time colleagues, not just consultants and hired guns. Around here, you'll push your colleagues to do their best work, and they'll turn around and do the same for you. At the end of the day what matters is being able to use the best technologies to help a great company perform even better. As our Expert Business Intelligence Architect, you'll work as a member of the Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) - Competency and Methodology team and be responsible for architecting and implementing the vision and strategy for the Teradata/Cognos environment at Nike. You'll ensure that the IT architectural principles for Data Warehousing best practices are met in areas such as availability, scalability, manageability, and security. You'll help design and implement the infrastructure required to support the Enterprise Warehouse development on Teradata. You'll be working with a team of architects and developers directly responsible for the Teradata Database Platform implementation. The EBI data platform architecture must be well communicated and constantly shared with the Enterprise Architecture team and across EBI into development and support groups. The EBI architecture strategies must line-up with overall IT architecture and strategies for the strategic vision for data warehousing at Nike - working with and aligning to other business IT groups. For example, you'll provide Data Warehouse design integration ideas and assistance for cross-functional and cross-regional business intelligence solutions. You'll be responsible for assessing business requests and requirements to ensure the most efficient and effective architectural solutions are designed and implemented. You'll be responsible for creating architectural drawings, documents and topologies and for collaborating with development, project, and business focused teams. You'll develop and steward governances for the database layer of the Data Warehouse. You'll work closely with other Nike DW/BI architects on implementing the layers within the data architecture. In addition, you'll interact with all levels within Nike including the executive level.
