Key Responsibilities
· The position is approximately 20% field work and 80% office work on a variety of large, complex projects primarily concentrated in the Energy, Transportation, and Federal sectors.
· Will assist and be mentored by Senior Principal level engineers on a variety of challenging engineering tasks both in the office and in the field.
· Technical responsibilities include investigations with anticipated deep and shallow foundation recommendations, shoring, settlement, stability, strength evaluations and field and laboratory testing programs.
· Will work on a variety of technically complex projects including coal combustion products (CCP) disposal, evaluation of ash dike stability, design of CCP landfills, analysis of dam safety, design of slopes, design of bridge foundation systems, geotechnical evaluations to support nuclear power plant construction.
· Will assist and be mentored by professional Project Managers in basic and advanced techniques for project management and control using our web based project accounting system and protocols.
· Successful candidate must be ambitious, outgoing, eager to learn.
Basic/Required Qualifications
· US citizenship required.
· BS in Civil Engineering required, MS in Geotechnical preferred.
· EIT required, PE a plus.
· 5 to 10+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting.
