Description:
IT Support Technician/Inventory Management
Emergint Technologies is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team in Atlanta, GA.  The qualified candidate will become part of Emergint’s Atlanta based Information Technology team supporting the Centers for Disease Control. 
Position Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will provide user support assistance with hardware and Windows XP/2000 in a Multi location environment.  This position also requires the ability to take incoming user support calls over the telephone, log calls in ticketing system, and resolve them in a timely manner.  Solid MS application experience is a must.  The candidate must also be able to lift computer equipment (15-75 lbs) and will provide support to customers by using the company vehicle to do drop offs and equipment setup. The candidate will be responsible for some network administration tasks to include creating new users, assigning rights, resetting passwords, etc.
Required Skills:
This position requires detailed technical knowledge in the following areas:
• Hardware:  A variety of Intel based PCs, laptops and servers; network printers • Software:  Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Vista, MS Office Professional, MS Exchange, Citrix, Norton Ghost • 2 years technical hands-on experience.  • Must have a clean driving record. • Due to the amount of direct interaction with customers and client, excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are required.  • Must be highly reliable and able to work independently.
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications (highly desired):
• Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) • A+ 
Available Shift:
Full time - Monday-Friday   8am - 5pm (Some overtime may be required).
