Our Houston office has been selected for an exciting Houston area project and with this project comes opportunity for growth in our office.
Electrical Engineering Leadership. Lead the overall electrical engineering design process. Meet with members of the client’s team to identify project requirements and user needs, coordinate and collaborate with architects and other consultants, develop engineering concepts and recommendations, present options and recommendations to client, and lead the internal AEI team in project implementation.
Electrical Design. Incorporate all relevant project information to establish concept plans and design criteria for system designs. Define and set forth information in basis of design, including information gathered from users, other consultants, field surveys and code research. Review the layout of distribution systems and equipment with team members within the discipline, as well as project team members in other disciplines, architects, outside consultants, and clients. Delegate work, identify specific tasks, and balance work for Engineers and Designers in order to meet client demands and individual project deadlines.
Expertise. We provide high-level quality and service to our clients. Qualifications for this position include:
10+ years experience designing power distribution and lighting building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; communicate well with clients, partners and individuals at all levels in the organization.
BSEE/BSAE (or another engineering discipline) from an ABET accredited program.
PE license in Texas or ability to become registered in Texas required.
LEED AP a plus.
Understanding of applicable design codes, design standards and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them.
Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs.
