Description:
Local oil construction and engineering company is seeking a qualified SITE AND SAFETY HEALTH OFFICER (SSHO) to join their team.
AS the Safety Officer, your responsibilities will include:
Perform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement for the Contractor
applicant must have 5+ years safety work of a progressive nature with at least 5 years of experience on similar projects. Minimum of 30-hour OSHA construction safety class or equivalent within the last 5 years. An average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the past 5 years with training for competent person status for at least the following areas of competency: excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, hazardous energy, confined space, health hazard recognition, evaluation and control of chemical, physical and biological agents, personal protective equipment and clothing to include selection, use and maintenance.
Degree strongly preferred.
