Description:
Our client's company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering professional to join their Manufacturing Team. The position will be responsible for end to end process development and technical support in a high volume manufacturing environment. The selected individual will have the unique opportunity to work across the organizational structure and equipment suppliers to establish production processes and controls, incorporating industry best practices and procedures. This hands-on position will make a direct contribution to the success of this young company entering the high growth solar market segment. Position Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and support production processes required for manufacturing of the company's first and subsequent generation of solar tiles Design and incorporate end to end factory integration; from receipt of material through the shipping of finished goods Become the company's lean practitioner and incorporate strong lean manufacturing principals in production processes, controls, and factory integration design Coordinate and/or assist with factory preparation activities including equipment set-up and acceptance, facility design and layout, and factory fit-up Assist with the selection of equipment and suppliers required for the manufacturing of the product Coordinate with the Engineering Design Team to incorporate design changes and new product introductions Establish process controls to ensure process and product quality, review process measurements and implement corrective actions Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities focused on product quality and cost including 6 Sigma and process automaton projects Develop and maintain capacity modeling tool Provide direction and leadership to Engineers and Technicians Resolve day to day issues associated with production activities Be an integral and contributing member of the Team Senior Process Engineer Qualifications: Excellent working knowledge of 5S, Lean, and 6 sigma Strong knowledge of high volume electro-mechanical assembly processes including soldering techniques, lamination and bonding processes Strong verbal and written communication and project management skills Ability to be a contributing member of a highly focused manufacturing team in a fast paced and dynamic start- up environment Motivated, 'out of the box', and forward thinker Willing to be a hands-on contributor and capable of growing with the organization For immediate consideration, please contact Kimberly Servello at (see below) with an updated resume and contact information!
