Company Job Title: IT Specialist -MD (Contingent)Chenega Job Title: Administrator III, SystemsClearance: SecretLocation: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MDReports To: Program ManagerFLSA Status: Full-time, ExemptPrepared Date: 10/27/2009Approved Date: 10/27/2009*********Position is Contingent upon Award and Funding of Contract***********Summary:The employee will be responsible to provide all planning, organization, guidance and execution, and management oversight for the mapping, disassembly, movement, unpacking, and reconstitution of the Army C4ISR organization BRAC relocation from Ft Monmouth, NJ to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position1. Establish and maintains full information management flow process.2. Provides direct communication to the primary information technology team, web developers, database administrators and software personnel.3. Responsible for management of system servers, including data management, security and software upgrades.4. Responsible for data security including personnel access, hardware requirements and software support.5. Analyzes and develops technical documentation/procedures to enforce network security and administration requirements.6. Provides information briefings, to include metrics concerning courses of action regarding existing, current and future information technology applications and solutions that have potential to better facilitate information exchange.7. Installs, maintains, operate, repair, and upgrade all fiber optic lines, hard wired cabling, and wireless links.8. Troubleshoots a wide range of software and hardware used throughout the network.9. Maintains up-to-date expertise in the operation and application of software and a working knowledge of a wide variety of commonly used hardware and software.10. Develops plans, assesses facility engineering requirements, oversees movement operations, and conducts training for personnel involved in the movement disassembly/assembly and the reconstitution of multiple sets of equipment.11. Ability to write clear and concise plans in support of the BRAC relocation effort.12. Other duties as assigned.SupervisionThere may be some supervisory responsibilities assigned, as necessary.Minimum QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.• A valid US Driver's License.• Previous exposure to BRAC sites or other transitions or moves is ideal.Education and/or Experience• Bachelor's Degree is required in Computer Science or related field. • 5-8 years of specialized experience or related work experience with multiple operating system environments, analysis and design of business applications on complex, large scale systems, including experience in data management concepts.• Experience supporting data base management systems.• Previous exposure to BRAC or other transitions or moves is ideal.Computer SkillsMicrosoft OfficeCertificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance: • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or above.Chenega Corporation is an EOE.
