Job Description Apex Systems Milwaukee has an immediate need for an experienced Data Modeling professional. Date resource is required: 11/12/2009 Anticipated end date: 03/12/2010 Job Classification: Business Systems Consultant 3 Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 3-5 years experience. Description: Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of moderately complex to complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes and/or systems testing. This individual will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define data requirements and identify data sources, compile data from multiple cross-business sources, provide complex analysis of data, and present findings at an executive summary level to assist with project and remediation initiatives. Required Skills: Experience and aptitude with Oracle, or another DBMS (ie strong SQL and data modeling knowledge) Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel Experience mining data, analyzing, and generating reports and graphs to be consumed at various levels of the organization Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and research problems/generate solutions Proven ability to work independently as well as in a group environment Proven ability to work in a virtual environment Detail oriented with effective oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and provide timely completion of assigned tasks Additional Desired Skills: Experience with Crystal Reports Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint uses/capabilities Platform and Skill Set Expertise: Analysis Skills : Business Analysis Apex Systems, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages minority and female applicants to apply.
