Description:
INTEGRATED AVIONICS SYSTEMS APPRENTICEAs an Integrated Avionic Systems Apprentice, you will be operating and maintaining avionics systems. Your job will consist of isolating malfunctions in avionics systems, radar, integrated test systems built-in-test (BIT), recording systems, video display systems and various other systems.- Remove, install, check and repair avionics systems and line-replaceable units (LRU).- Diagnose malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.- Update operational logs, inspection records, aircraft forms and automated maintenance systems.- Perform and supervise alignment, calibration and bore sight of avionics systems using uploaded maintenance and operational software.- Inspect and Evaluating aircraft maintenance activities.- Inspect and verify operational status and configuration of avionics systems and software.- Resolve problems with maintenance and supply.- Prepare aircraft for low-altitude attack profiles, precision bombing, covert operations and reconnaissance.Additionally, you may also perform as the aircraft dedicated crew chief.Benefits include:- Education assistance- Specialized Avionic Systems Technology training- 30-days of vacation with pay each year, starting with your first year- Comprehensive medical and dental care for you, your spouse and children- Thrift Savings Plan (similar to a 401K)- Low-cost life insurance- Tax-free housing and food allowances- Opportunity for regular promotions based on skills, abilities, time in service and time in grade- Excellent retirement program after 20 years of continuous serviceAll Air Force careers fields are based on qualifications and job availability.Do you want to learn more about this job?
