Job Description
The available position supports our clients business by providing QA expertise to ensure the sound function and performance of software systems supporting the back-office functions. The back office systems include User Interfaces, Windows services, web services, and console applications. These systems manage the lifecycle of an order following its completion in the transaction system and perform business processes that include order state management, company financials, reporting, and data integration with partners. My clients platforms are Microsoft centric, leveraging the .NET platform and complimentary Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server, SSIS, Reporting services and other. The successful candidate possesses demonstrated experience in planning and execution of both manual and automated testing of complex software systems that contain a large amount of external system interfaces as well as the following skills and experience:

Responsibilities:
Analyze specifications and translate them into use cases and test cases.
Create and execute test plans.
Create regression test scripts and perform regression test for .NET releases and upgrades.
Functional test of bug fixes and enhancements in a .NET environment
Utilize best practices of system integration and regression testing.
Track system defects and enhancements, assign levels of severity, and coordinate defect review meetings.
Understand software testing techniques, creation of testable requirements and QAs role in the system development life cycle.
Assist with the implementation of automated test tools.

Position Requirements:
Self directed and disciplined. Accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through skills are essential. Able and willing to identify and perform tasks outside of the testing sandbox. Knowledge of varied QA methodologies required. 2 to 3 years of Quality Assurance testing, with exposure to test automation tools. Must have experience designing and executing test plans, test cases and test scripts. Strong SQL skills required. Must have excellent communication, organizational and documentation skills.Team oriented and able to interface effectively with programmers, DBAs, project managers and business unit personnel.Previous programming experience desired
