Description:
Immediate need for a Revenue Cycle Supervisor with experience in the healthcare industry. Mid-level supervisor oversees 3 posters and 2 medical billers. Company located in Maitland, FL. Must have a bachelors in accounting/business or at least 5 years experience in supervision of billing/posting or medical accounting. Local Orlando applicants only.
Position Summary:
Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the staff in the cash accounting/transaction department to ensure timely cash management through active management of all processes related to transactions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Direct over-site of procedures, within department, on entering invoice data into computer AP systems. Responsible for timely and accurate posting. Supervises refunds for timely processing of overpayments and returns. Oversee preparation of bank deposits for all groups, balances to daily audit journal and maintains accurate reports for management and accounting staff. Maintain general ledger accounts. Audit vendor monthly statements and invoices against P/Os in the General Ledger system. Ensure, through training of staff of proper coding of invoices to the correct G/L account. Assist employees, vendors, clients and customers by answering questions related accounts, procedures and services. Conducts regular audits of payments and adjustments processed to ensure accuracy and monitor for variances with contracts. Follow all regulatory policies and procedures, privacy and security standards in accordance with government agencies to include HIPAA requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Maintain accuracy of Time Force entries for area of responsibility. Maintain a culture of accountability via setting of clear objectives throughout all employees in areas of responsibility through regular follow-up, variance tracking and results. Conduct accurate and timely assessment of subordinates through performance reviews quarterly and yearly. Conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizations policies and applicable laws. Participates in occasional cross training with other job related areas.
