Description:
A rapidly growing colocation and Internet services company has immediate opportunity for a skilled systems administrator. This company operates three premium colocation campuses in the San Diego area: two in Kearney Mesa, and one in Sorrento Valley.
Looking for someone to help us manage and grow our corporate and client-facing systems. As a member of the Network Operations team, you will be responsible for scaling and operating our expanding regional network (LA / San Diego / Phoenix). This position provides immediate opportunities to learn the latest data center technologies, including high-availability networking, load-balancing, optical connectivity, performance routing, and network management. Technical growth and innovation is encouraged through on-site and off-site training.
The successful candidate has a strong working knowledge of Linux and fluency in one or more scripting languages (e.g. PERL, PHP, bash). You will be well versed in LAMP technology and have a solid understanding of Internet applications and architecture (TCP/IP, DNS). Must have system recovery, disaster recovery, and hands on mail server experience, MySQL, and DNS down cold.
Must have experience in Windows server and workstation OSes
Familiar with service provider networking. Must have Data Storage Facility experience.
