My clients embedded firmware team is expanding as we step up to the challenge of making the companys computing platform go global and introduce ever more capable hardware. This is your opportunity to shape our next generation platform.

Responsibilities:
- Work with a team to define and build new capabilities for our mobile computing platform.
- Work closely with SQA to ensure the development of effective test plans and test cases.

Qualifications:
- Must have C development experience in an embedded -processor based small device (such as an ARM-based device) (i.e. handhelds, cell-phones, toys, GPS, etc.)
- Experience with device drivers
- Experience designing system APIs and infrastructure
- Excellent engineering design skills
- Experience through the full software development lifecycle -- at least one shipped product
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- More than 5 years of firmware development experience
- BA/BS in Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience

Nice to have, but not required:
- Ability to do basic hardware debugging using oscilloscope and DMM
- Experience with audio codecs and DSP algorithms
- Experience with USB protocols and drivers
- Experience with wireless devices and protocols
- Experience with power management of battery operated devices
- Experience with Scons and Python.
