Role: The role of the Director of Visual Merchandising is to ensure that Cole Haan's product merchandising presentations represent the corporate brand image consistently throughout all environments including Retail (FQ, FS), Wholesale, Corporate Support and International. Responsibilities: Working directly with the Senior Director of Store Planning to create new and innovative strategies of visual presentation. Partner with Chief Marketing Officer to identify market needs and develop appropriate strategies to support brand image and sales initiatives.
Work in collaboration with all design directors and visual team to open new Cole Haan environments in support of brand image and sales initiatives. These will include Retail stores, Concept Shops, Trade Shows, Showrooms, Sales Meetings and International Stores.
Manage and develop Visual Merchandisers including providing effective performance management.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal clients in order to effectively communicate and implement visual directives in first quality and factory stores, Wholesale, International and Corporate environments
Communicate regularly with VP of Stores, District and Store Managers in order to provide training with regard to implementing and maintaining visual merchandising strategies in each individual store.
Responsible for all development of merchandising plans for new store openings, renovations and seasonal modifications to the retail environments.
Implement and coach store staff and managers to apply the monthly and bi-monthly merchandise statements per directives for exterior display windows and interior environments which reflect the Cole Haan image.
Create Manage and Develop a Retail field team to provide support and training to the District Managers and stores to ensure strong execution of Visual Merchandising direction.
Create Manage and Develop a focused Wholesale and International team to provide support and training for the implementation of Wholesale and International Wholesale and Retail Visual Merchandising directives and standards.
