Responsibilities include:
Detailed and process oriented individual to ensure performance is collected on a copy exact methodology
Ensuring known variable changes for performance accuracy
Responsible for the executing of gaming / media test content
Required to perform first level debug assessment (reproducibility)
Submit performance defects as needed into our HSD database
Responsible for verification and closure of defects
Required Skills:
Excellent verbal and writing communications and skills
Excellent analytic and problem solving skills
Passion for quality, thrive in a fast paced, challenging environment, and enjoy working as an integral member of the Performance Validation team
A self-driven individual who is capable and excited to learn about new technologies
Experience in Microsoft OSes (XP / Vista)
Experience performance testing products in formal environment is desired
Knowledge in Media benchmark testing /analysis (HQV; Blu-ray/Standard Def/Playback/Record)
Knowledge with MPEG2, VC1, H.264 formats desired
Knowledge with Software Debug tools such as WinDebug is desired
Knowledge of Graphics Cards /configurations / CrossFire / SLI
Experience in First Person Shooter games
Direct experience developing white box and black box tests to facilitate functional, integration, and regression, testing would be an added advantage
Scripting experience (i.e. perl)
Execution of test content
Reproducing issues / first level debug
Submit performance defects / HSD DB
Verify / close defects as issues are resolved
Image systems as needed
Knowledge of graphics / media
