Position:                            Director of Customer Service
 
Position Level:                 Senior Management
 
Salary Level:                    E-4 plus bonus earned
 
Reports to:                       Vice President of Operations
 
Education:                        Bachelor’s or higher in related field of study or equivalent in work experience
 
Work Experience:            Five or more years experience in various professional positions and 3 or more years of management experience in Customer Service
 
 
1.                  Manage the company customer service area in the operations department and all its supervisors, managers, and staff
 
2.                  One or more supervisors or managers and employees reporting to this person plus any additional support staff
 
3.                  Insures adequate staffing and work load balancing in the customer service area of the company’s operations department
 
4.                  Helps develop, directs, and implements company customer service strategy to ensure client satisfaction and meeting of company service goals
 
5.                  Leads the development of the company internal and external customer service strategy in coordination with co-workers, other directors, and with senior management team
 
6.                  Interviews, hires, counsels, promotes and terminates staff of the customer service area in accordance with company needs, approved staffing plan, company guidelines, and in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws governing employment
 
7.                  Participate in senior management planning of the operations department of company
 
8.                  Provide customer service related and general business input into company short and long term strategy both as it relates to the business overall and as it relates to the customer service needs of the company
 
9.                  Anticipates the customer service needs of the company and takes appropriate action to secure the needed support personnel and equipment
 
10.              Monitors phone service and ensures efficient operation of phone banks
 
11.              Maintains security of company electronic records
 
12.              Maintains security of company’s client records
 
13.              Reports directly to company President without regard to other reporting relationships any financial improprieties observed
 
14.              Other duties as assigned
