Company Job Title: Safety Program Coordinator - MD (Contingent)Chenega Job Title: Analyst III, OperationsClearance: SecretLocation: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MDReports To: Program ManagerFLSA Status: Full-time, ExemptPrepared Date: 10/26/2009Approved Date: 10/26/2009*********Position is Contingent upon Award and Funding of Contract***********Summary:This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the safety training schedule, course planning, and distribution of pre-requisite course materials, course completion certificates, and logistics support for the contract. The employee is responsible for the development of training reports and documentation including data collection, compilation, and interpretation. The employee will be responsible to provide all planning, organization, guidance and execution, and management oversight for the mapping, disassembly, movement, unpacking, and reconstitution of the Army C4ISR organization relocation from Ft Monmouth, NJ to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.There will be Moderate travel involved in this position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position1. Develop and implement safety measures for the logistical movement of equipment and materials between locations.2. Develop, implement, and update a Safety and Training Plan, and all other procedures and plans associated with the safety training and qualification process.3. Participate in assessments as needed. Support activities including inspections, records review, and completion of assessments forms for final package.4. Develop corrective actions for various closure packages as needed, depending on the action items. Develop and implement a procedure to track corrective actions to closure.5. Develop and maintain a list of qualified and certified (as necessary) Safety Training Program instructors. 6. Assist in identifying and procuring services for new instructors to develop and maintain a depth and breadth of instruction capabilities necessary to support delivery and growth of Army Safety Program needs and requirements.7. Develop, maintain, and track a safety training effectiveness program that includes evaluating qualified training instructors and trending individual course performance evaluations.8. Develop a schedule to review adequacy/currency of all existing safety plans and processes.9. Assist in the development and maintenance of a formal project plan that addresses streamlining course offerings; completing new course development; performing comprehensive reviews and course updates; and assuring that all active courses contain current information at all times.10. Assist in maintaining existing accreditations.11. Have Comprehensive knowledge of training management, facility scheduling, and instructor coordination.12. Understand and apply US Army, DoD and Federal government safety-related requirements, policies, and procedures.13. Knowledge and experience with ISO 9000 (Quality), ISO 14000 (Environment) and OSHA 18000 (Safety) management Systems.14. Other duties as assigned.SupervisionThere may be some supervisory responsibilities assigned with this position.Minimum QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.• A valid US Driver's License.Education and/or Experience• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university emphasizing project or program management, business, communication, or quality (equivalent experience may be substituted).• 5+ years of experience in coordinating a professional safety program for a large organization.• 5+ years experience in planning, project, and resource management skills including the ability to effectively apply principles, practices, and techniques of project and resource management, effectively plan and execute operational goals and objectives, and manage resources.• Knowledge and experience in training and learning techniques for delivering an effective, professional training presentation and supporting the assessment/evaluation process of training programs or instructors.• Working knowledge of US Army orders, policies, and procedures regarding safety requirements.• Working knowledge of evaluation and assessment techniques regarding training.Computer SkillsMicrosoft OfficeCertificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance: Secret or aboveChenega Corporation is an EOE.
