Position Summary: NC0

The Maintenance Planner/Router schedules maintenance events and ensures proper aircraft routing to meet the needs of Maintenance, Materials, and System Operations.

Essential Functions:

-Reviews short, mid, and long term forecasts
-Schedules all maintenance events within the time limit, accounting for man power, ground time, parts, tooling, and facility requirements.
-Balance workload and ensure timely publication of the daily workload
-Coordinate Material requirements for workload with Materials team.
-Coordinate aircraft availability with System Operations and Maintenance Control.
-Create Heavy Maintenance Visit work packages
-Manage EO, EA, TSI, and Defect accomplishment
-Ensures routing and tracking of aircraft to designated maintenance locations to meet projected induction date
-Approves and coordinates all routing requests
-Actions routing changes within the time limited event, i.e. flight hours, cycles, etc.
-Ensures timely communication of routing changes to affected parties
-Develops a recovery plan in the event the system operation is impacted by delays or cancellations
-Accomplishes all projects and duties assigned by Manager, Maintenance Planning

Minimum Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
-Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management preferred
-Two (2) years aircraft routing experience and/or Two (2) years maintenance planning experience and/or Two (2) years Technical Operations experience preferred
-Regular attendance and punctuality
-Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
-Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
-Pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)
-Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
-When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, FliteTrac Plot
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to process analytical routing information
-Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
-Ability to work collaboratively with team members and crewmembers in other departments.

Ability to work different shifts, weekends and holidays
Ability to work 12 hour shifts
