Description:
The Program Manager is primarily responsible for the project management of program level initiatives and managing SCS (a user configurable system) release activities.Responsibilities include; managing cross functional product delivery teams, facilitating the product delivery process, developing and leading the overall project plan, and project managing SCS development efforts, SCS UAT, and SCS deployment activities.
The position requires exceptional project management skills and a strong project management background.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Program Manager for the implementation of new products and enhancements to existing GMAC Insurance Dealer Product and Services product lines
Manage multiple projects simultaneously using various project management software, tools, and techniques
Directly managing the SCS release business unit efforts and work with IT to integrate the ITG efforts into a single cohesive project plan
Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments
Communicate regularly with senior leadership, product team, and project groups
Creates high performing and self sustaining cross-functional teams that efficiently use time and resources
Develop project material, communications, reports and metrics
Conduct product change feasibility studies that include preliminary project timelines and schedules
Perform release resource and capacity analysis, allocation, reporting, and communication
Provide release planning and support activities
Perform release planning activities, capacity analysis, allocation, reporting, and communication
Manage stakeholder relationships and act as a liaison within each product development team
Develop project material, communications, reports and metrics
Communicate regularly with senior leadership, product team, and project groups.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, practices, product knowledge, and project management practices
Requirements:

Project management experience
Well developed project and information management skills
Ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledgeable on MS Project
Insurance Industry and dealership operations knowledge
Capable of managing several projects concurrently
High level of accountability
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks
Negotiation and creative problem solving skills
Strong decision making, customer service, and presentation skills
Ability to work with various PC applications
College Degree
PMP Certification (preferred)
Ability to travel 25% of the time (possibly on weekends)
Education: Bachelor
Experience: At Least 3 Years
Travel: About 25%
