Currently, we are seeking an experienced Planner III to support the Workplace/DIY Business in the Kimberly-Clark Professional Sector in our Corinth KCP Plant.
This position is responsible for scheduling or coordinating production and materials ordering
at copackers/contract manufacturers and/or K-C production
sites to support business objectives and business plans.
Expected to lead and/or participate in various projects which support achieving team objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Schedule production that supports efficient utilization of
material and storage space, while achieving customer service
objectives
* Provide on-call support to the production sites
* Provide a Logistics perspective in working with the
operations team to identify waste, delay, and grade change
opportunities to increase productivity
* Support Supply Chain Integration and Process Improvement
plans
* Must actively participate in problem solving and process
improvement with production site, staff and vendor teams.
Expected to lead and/or participate in various projects whic
support achieving both production site and staff objectives
* Strategic Material Planner provides long-term forecasts to
vendors and acts as liaison between tactical schedulers,
centralized material planning teams, strategic planning,
sourcing and supply management and the vendor
* Maintain accurate planning information for raw materials
and/or finishing supplies in SAP (an Enterprise Resource
Planning system), updating as necessary for material/product
changes
* Coordinate raw material and/or finishing supply changes to
support business plans and minimize obsolescence with
packaging and graphics timelines developed in conjunction
with operations, marketing, planning and packaging
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering
-3-5 years experience in Logistics and/or operations for
production sites or staff with significant planning or operations experience in an RfS and LEAN Manufacturing environment.
-Knowledge of and experience with an Enterprise Resource
Planning system specifically SAP R/3 and APO-PPDS.
Other Qualifications:
-A demonstrated ability to effectively organize, plan,
control, analyze, and communicate in a complex environment interacting with multiple other sites and businesses in order to construct and relay production schedules and materials plans with mill operations and staff units.
-A demonstration of excellent decision making and thoroughness
-Personal and organizational sensitivity
-A genuine desire to thrive in an operations/mill environment and to integrate oneself with mill operations.
-Willingness to challenge the status quo and
facilitate different perspectives to drive solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
-Working knowledge of supply chain interactions
-Knowledge of and experience with Business
Warehouse
-Multi-lingual capabilities a plus
-A demonstrated ability to provide work direction to peers or others
