Program Director - Technical - MS Director - Chair Program Director - Department Chair - Skills Required - Technical Program Director, Teacher/Instructor, Management, Microsoft Office Certification, Business Education Certification, Budget Management, Department Chair Program Director - Administrative Office Management - MS CertifiedIf you have 4+ years experience as an Instructor, Management, and MS certified please read on!What you need:- Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in classroom or skills training in business education or related- Minimum of 2-4 years relevant non-teaching experience working in a private or public sector business setting-Prefer prior supervisory experience-Strongly prefer Microsoft Office Suite and/or Business Education Certification- B.S. or B. A. degree is required; and preference will be given to those possessing either of the above certifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field or discipline. Certification in Microsoft Office Suites and Business Education certification from the state department of education preferred - Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. - Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments - Has a natural empathy for students and maintains an open-door policy, while also requiring accountability and expecting performance on the part of students- Well-read; possesses a strong grounding in administrative aspects of business (including proficiency in current software used in today's office settings such as Powerpoint, Excel, Word and other related programs such as Outlook/email)- Able to influence and persuade others in group and individual settings in a positive manner; an active contributor and collaborator- Enjoys learning about new concepts and methods and likes to attend professional development events to enhance his or her understanding of dynamics of the administrative business profession- Recognizes when resources are needed and doesn't hesitate to redirect the organization as required to meet commitments, while always respecting the reporting protocol of the organization- A proponent of the benefits of automation in business; experience using a personal computer for analytical decision support and internal communications- Results and people oriented, but have sound, independent judgment; able to balance other business considerations while maintaining focus on his/her own program; works well with othersWhat you will be doing:Serve as the academic leader and manages the administrative functions of a single or multiple programs. Responsibilities generally include: overall AOM program management; scheduling of courses; fiscal and budgetary management; faculty development and evaluation; facilities and resource management; contracting, monitoring and management of externships (when applicable); development and implementation of operational procedures; student support and retention; and special projects. Serves as supervisor to program instructors and sets tone for overall quality, community involvement, and performance results of the program.
