Description:
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer. A stable growing company is seeking a self-starter to work in an R/D environment responsible for creating custom Digital Signal Processing solutions and communications systems in support of national security defense. Under general supervision, this individual will perform full life-cycle development of advanced, technically complex systems, to include DSP algorithm design, application development, testing, releasing, installation, and maintenance of software. The ability to adapt solutions from one environment to another, addressing new capabilities, and system integration problems, is required. Implementation includes hardware control, GUI design, and database development. This position will allow for direct interaction with end users and customers. The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or other equivalent field of discipline Demonstrated capability in scientific programming with C, C++, or similar high-level language on UNIX/Linux Strong background in DSP or in communications theory DSP Algorithm development and deployment Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Desired: Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or other equivalent field of discipline 5+ years of experience in practical system development X-Midas or MATLAB experience Applicable Background (experience in any of the following): Signal conditioning Re-sampling Interference canceling Equalization Cyclostationary techniques Spectral methods Satellite communications Cellular communications systems Modern wireless protocols including, but not limited to 802.11 Modern modulation schemes Coding theory and techniques For consideration, please send your resume to Paul Montoya at (see below)
