Modis is currently seeking a Network Support Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Atlanta, GA area. This contract role is expected to start immediately and last for 24 months. JOB DESCRIPTION The Network Support Engineer will be responsible for providing Tier 2 technical support on a high-availability production network. This role will include providing configuration and management for Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches and Network Security devices to include Cisco PIX Firewalls, Cisco Firewall Services Module (FWSM)and IDS/IPS Technologies. Candidates should be able to make changes to Firewall ACLs as well as perform IOS upgrades on FWSM and Cisco Switches. In addition, candidates MUST have a minimum of 2 years in Server Administration experience, including supporting Sun One Web Servers, Windows Operating Systems/Server environments and using F5/Foundry Load balancers for global server load balancing. REQUIRED SKILLS - Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Network Support related role. - Proficiency in the configuration and support of Cisco Routers/Switches - Proficiency in the configuration and support of Firewalls and IDS/IPS Technologies - Demonstrated ACL experience - Minimum of 2 years experience in the administration and support of Windows O/S, Windows Servers and SunOne Web Servers with demonstrated Scripting skills. - F5 or Foundry load balancers.
