Job Description Excellent opportunity to work with a Leading Edge, fast paced organization!SCOPE:This dynamic organization is seeking a Strategic Director to lead the LAN/WAN Networking and Telecommunications organization. The Senior Director will have approximately 6 direct reports and 45 employees in total. This company is seeking candidates that have worked for Mid to Large Scale organizations and have proven abilities to Lead, Develop and Mentor Technical Teams.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure the definition, implementation, and maintenance of (LAN/WAN Networks, and Telecommunications). Ensure technology strategy is aligned to execute business initiatives. Evaluate, create, implement, and review architecture models to meet business initiatives. Review current infrastructure and develop current state, transitional state and future state requirements. Conduct GAP analyses between current state and future state to create transition plans. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices as they evolve over time. Create, implement, and maintain reporting systems for assessing the efficacy of all IT infrastructure. Assist senior management in establishing governance processes, identifying and mitigating risk, and ensuring the efficient use of company resources. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION:Four year degree in information systems or a related field (advanced degree preferred) Required Skills: The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in the following areas: Network Design and Operations (LAN/WAN), development, and implementation of technical systems; experience with enterprise architecture a must. Strong Telecommunications background in the areas of VOIP technology and Avaya Systems.The design and configuration of systems to detect and mitigate complex and often unpredictable traffic anomalies, to include the use of IDS/IPS devices, packet sniffers, flow-based tools and traditional MPLS and BGP-based traffic engineering measures. Knowledge of Multi layer switching, internal and external routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS and others), and VoIP architectures. Must have Solid understanding of VOIP Technology and also Avaya System. Intimate knowledge of network provider and carrier offerings (for WAN, LAN, MAN, MPLS).Implementation and utilization of a LAN/WAN, Network Management System solution.Expert knowledge of Cisco, and other enterprise-class data networking and Telecommunications equipment and product lines. Reviewing new project requirements to develop solutions that optimize service delivery in accordance with the highest industry standards. Proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment. Analyzing technology solution options and making recommendations to executive management. Planning and budgeting IT implementation initiatives. Desired Skills: MUST HAVE A BACHELORS DEGREE - MASTERS DEGREE IS PREFERREDKnowledge of Redhat Linux or SuSe Linux is a huge plus Salary USD 75000 - 85000 Per Year Career Level Required Experienced (Non-Manager) Experience Required 2+ to 5 Years Education Required Certification Job Type Employee/Temporary/Contract Job Status Full Time
