Sr. Data Architect

Responsible for the architecture, planning, design and development of data warehouse/business intelligence solutions including data and systems.



Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business and technical leadership to enhance and evolve healthcare intelligence offerings to our customers
Translate client user requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plan
Design and develop the architecture for all data warehousing components (e.g. tool integration strategy; source system data ETL strategy, data staging, movement and aggregation; information and analytics delivery; and data quality strategy)
Design of the data warehouse data storage strategy/technique (ODS, EDW, DM, ROLAP, MOLAP, etc.)
Design of data warehouse health sub-system (e.g. QA/QC, ETL and Query metrics)
Oversight of tools evaluations and selection
Oversight and/or coordination of system testing phase
Problem and issue resolution
Mentoring and developing junior staff
Enable automation in development processes to maximize productivity and quality
Design and support data-marts and cubes for analytical reporting
Design, implement and understand Dimensional Models/query tools, and Metadata Repositories
Work closely with internal customers, IT staff, vendors and consultants to coordinate plans and activities for development projects
Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and high-level technical design specifications
Design and development of relational database management objects tables, schemas, indexes, materialized views, partitions, stored procedures, macros, etc.), database design principles, data administration standards, and information security terminology
Ability to solve complex technical problems, assimilates information rapidly, and works under time constraints
Aptitude to work collaboratively with other BI and IT resources to design and develop effective BI solutions for the enterprise
Job Requirements:

10 years experience with data warehouse and business intelligence systems.
3 years experience with healthcare clinical coding and claims.
3 years experience with T-SQL, OLAP, MDX, data mining and Reporting Services.
Experience with Integration Services, Analysis Services, Report Services and other BI tool suites.
Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Superior oral and written communications skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Health care experience preferred.
BS degree in computer sciences, software design, engineering, information systems, related field or comparable experience.
