Technical Requirements: -12 years experience in providing IT solutions including 8 years providing web services including web analytics, creation, updating, development and enhancement of web pages and web applications, and web usability and accessibility in JSP and ASP-based environments 5 years management experience including experience managing a team of Internet developers, authors, and design personnel in support of client business units -Familiarity with 508 compliance, accessibility, user-centered design, information architecture, software development -Familiarity with WEB 2.0, Social networking, Social Media WIKIS and Blogs. -Experience and demonstrated capability to plan, monitor, and control activities of a web development team including development of MS Project-based plans, development of project budgets/spend plans, and maintenance of project reporting and communications. -Familiarity with Rational Unified Process(RUP), development lifecycle from requirements analysis to design, evaluation, implementation and testing -Expertise with full life-cycle front-end development and design systems to include: full life cycle planning, business requirements gathering and analysis, front-end framework, heuristic evaluation, open and closed card sorting, cognitive walkthroughs, usability testing, information architecture development, taxonomy development and implementation. -Demonstrated capability and experience with wireframe and site structure/diagrams development, user scenarios development, content development and management, screen designs/treatments, client-side scripting, persona development (ergonomics and web-based applications), knowledge and content design, linguistic schematics, ethnographic vocabularies, controlled vocabulary design, taxonomies, metadata design and content enhancement (XML), UML modeling, online user documentation and other technical writing, computer- and web-based training -Overall site maintenance knowledge and skills required including expertise in running Traffic Analysis Reports, Hit Counts (Log files and Perl Statistics), Site Quality reports (Maxamine Web Analyst Professional - preferred), -Orphan and Google Reports.
Position Description: Provides leadership and technical guidance to a team of six or more Web developers with a range of experience and credentials. Develops and manages team schedules including shift work. Plans work activities (including development of MS Project Plan) and manages work to the priorities developed with the Internet Services client. May be required to participate in development of web content, web pages, and applications. Develops and maintains project spend plan and projection. Coordinates with the Program Manager and Assistant Program Manager to ensure resolution of problems and customer satisfaction. May serve as Task Order Manager for one or more task orders.
The successful candidate will among other duties: • Work as a manager, subordinate to the Program Manager, within a large program organization for a Federal government agency. • Be well-spoken and in possession of exceptional client relations skills and communication skills (within the program, within the project team, and within the client organization). • Be adaptable and flexible in response to a fast-paced and dynamic environment. • Technical environment includes: XHTML, CSS, Javascript, DHTML, basic AJAX, XML, XSL, and Adobe CS4 Web Premiere. • This position may require the participation in shift work per the schedule developed by the successful candidate. Shift work rotates among the team members and occurs each Friday from 5 – 9 pm and each Saturday remotely on a 2-hour response schedule from 10 am until 6 pm. Education: * Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or field related to Internet services * Advanced degree or technical licenses a plus Must be eligible to obtain a BI clearance
