Junior Database Analyst - TS/SCI
Cocoa Beach, FL Candidate will be responsible for maintaining several OLTP databases. Prefer experience with Oracle9 i and/or 10 Enterprise Edition databases, Dataguard, and Streams within a Unix environment. Also, must be proficient with database backup & recovery procedures and techniques. Will be dealing with partitioning, diagnostics tools, Unix scripting, writing documentation and some programming with PL/SQL. Will be expected to maintain and troubleshoot all database issues and problems as well as analyze system performance and provide viable solutions. While Oracle experience is preferred, will consider someone with Sybase, Access, SQL databases experience also. Those with this type of background should be capable of learning/adapting to Oracle Database environment and have some experience working in environment with some of other technologies listed. Strong communication skills are a must.....Person will be required to communicate with customers, co-workers and management and relate/update/brief on any issues that would cause problems or suggest improvement procedures that can increase efficiency and overall system performance. Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent experience. Requires 2-5 years experience. Administer and manage database operations. Analyze and develop/refine application software. Support UNIX and Windows environments. Provides customer assistance, training and documentation support. Note: Successful completion of a relevant IT certification may be substituted for one year experience.   
 
Performs other duties and special projects as needed and directed by the Manager.
 
In order to be considered for this postion an Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
