Description:
Remember the time you had to rush to fix and start an airplane so you could escape an angry mob on a remote island? Ok, maybe that was just your favorite TV moment, but you could do that if you had to. Just like MacGyver you can use practical scientific knowledge and common items to come up with the most amazing solutions to any situation. If you enjoy repairing equipment and machines, we might have the perfect gig for you. And don’t worry, unlike MacGyver you won’t have to rely strictly on your trusty Swiss Army Knife.
You’ll be working in Fender’s Corona Manufacturing facility ensuring that the equipment that helps us build such world renowned instruments is up and running smoothly. You will handle preventive and structural maintenance, installation of new equipment, equipment modifications, and custom design projects on manufacturing equipment.
We know you are a person who likes to do things their own way, but we think you need to know some of the fine print to be selected for the team:
- 3+ years directly related experience in maintenance, and/or repair work
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of NFPA, NATIONAL Electrical Code required
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics, and ladder logic required
- Working knowledge of motor control circuits, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, plumbing, and building maintenance
- Welding skills (TIG, MIG, ARC, Brazing) required
- Computer knowledge: Excel and Word
- Proven ability to work in a team environment, and effective communications (oral and written)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
