Are you ready to lead new and existing product marketing and business development opportunities as the Global Marketing Manager for 3M Food Safety? The position of Global Marketing Manager located in Maplewood, Minnesota will provide quality leadership and support to high priority projects in the Food Safety Department including the development of strategic and operating plans. To ensure business objectives and strategic goals are met through the development, adoption and implementation of marketing strategies and plans to maximize current business opportunities and commercialize new business opportunities. To provide leadership, coaching and direction when personnel is assigned and be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties: Market Development & Planning. Oversees development of market plan. Develops strategic and operating plans for assigned product line. Develops and executes major business programs involving product strategy, market strategy, pricing, distribution, communications and promotions to be included in the division's market/product plans on a domestic and global basis as assigned. Defines research outcomes necessary to support the market/product plan. Participates in strategic business plan development of operating unit and makes appropriate recommendations. Responsible for branding strategy and architecture to maximize results globally.
International. Supports efforts of International subsidiaries through project design and business plan development. Participates in and leads cross-functional teams concerned with new market/product development and organizational policy. Attends Food Safety conferences, trade shows and seminars related to assigned market/product area. Assists with special projects. Performs other duties as assigned.
New Product Development. Identifies and recommends new business development opportunities for new and existing products, including analysis and interpretation of market segments, business trends and identification of customers' specific needs. Works with laboratory staff to identify, integrate and prioritize new product concepts and ideas for product development. Works with necessary disciplines to establish and manage new product development process with appropriate management review. Develops implementation plans/schedules for introducing new or improved products, including new product introduction program. Developing and implementing with the regions (EMEA, APAC and Latin America) pricing corridors for the key product lines
P&L Management. Prepares sales, unit and/or pricing forecasts for assigned market/product area. Projects new product sales/profits. Prepares and allocates financial resources to programs/products within forecasted guidelines and regulates expenditures.
Global Competitive Analysis. Analyzes and interprets changing market/industry dynamics and trends to determine the effect on product lines. Develops and expands global customer base by increasing knowledge of all facets of the marketplace, and analyzing competitive information and marketing intelligence.
