Job DescriptionJob title: Mechanical Engineer, Customer and Product Support Engineering Group Position: The Mechanical Engineer C&PS is part of the Customer and Product Support Engineering Team and reports to the Manager of CP&S Engineering. Fundamentals: Responsible for the achievement of the qualitative and quantitative objectives in the business strategy 2010 - 2015, with the following responsibilities: · Take Ownership of development and support activities as assigned related to door and control components in the product lines.· Manage product support work stream assignments (i.e. shop support, seismic analysis, wind load analysis, custom door designs) to customer requirements.· Act as design and technical resource for all product development activities related to product line enhancement, extensions, upgrades, and cost reductions, as assigned by the Engineering Manager CP&S. · Show the initiative to excel and exceed expectation on:· Product line development projects as assigned.· Development and maintenance of the automated engineering tools set· Service and support projects for internal and external customers. · Realize Quantitative Targets:· Release high quality design solutions on time and on budget as agreed to with supervisor.· Achieve internal and external customer service ratings as agree to with supervisor.· Sales as outlined in the Yearly Business Plan and annual targets; · Financial budget as outlined in the Yearly Business Plan and annual...
