Description:
Directly, or through subordinate supervisors, develops and administers maintenance programs for Commerce facilities. Establishes operating and inventory budgets, monitors expenses, and makes adjustments in operations to achieve budgets. Assures that regular maintenance is performed and repairs/adjustments are made in a timely manner so production deadlines can be achieved.
Qualifications Include:
One to two years college or trade school. In the absence of formal education, significant and directly related work experience may be substituted.
Eight to ten years closely related experience with at least 4 years in supervision with a proven track record in plant/facilities maintenance operations.
In-depth knowledge of all maintenance tools and equipment as well as maintenance processes. Must also have a good understanding of collective bargaining agreement is required.
Knowledge of personal computers and associated business software (MS-Word, Excel, and Access preferred), is required.
Must be current on all OSHA safety regulations regarding personnel and equipment use.
Must have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management and staff.
Good team building and facilitation skills demonstrated by the performance of assigned teams, is required.
