eConsultAmerica is a preferred vendor supplier on retainer with a national logistics provider who operates almost 400 trucks, employs nearly 800 transportation professionals in it’s dedicated fleets and has established a network of 2,000 preferred carriers through a stringent carrier approval process. Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Transportation National Account Executive. This position will be based in Lafayette, LA. This position will require 30% - 50% domestic travel. US Citizens or Green Card holders only apply. Position DetailsThis position will focus on consultative sales and account management for our prospective customers. This position will be response for maximizing sales within Food and Beverage industry vertical market by finding new customers and servicing existing customers; usually 70/30 ratio of new to existing business. This position will be responsible for selling and servicing sales to large, multi-site accounts. The chosen candidate will be responsible for closing the account at the corporate level, as well as coordinate the execution of the sales agreement through internal operations representatives responsible for the various customer locations. This requires a combination of key sales skills to identify, work with complex customer contacts and fashion an offering to meet the client requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable calling on the executive suite/plant management/purchasing management and discussing the business case that represents their competitive edge.Responsibilities• Create and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities.• Develop and maintain a source of leads by gathering industry, competitor and customer data.• Balance account relationships and internal capabilities to improve asset utilization, delivering an improved client experience.• Interface with internal operations to coordinate the execution of sales agreements.• Perform market research to understand the competitive landscape within your assigned demographic.BEST INDUSTRY – TransportationBEST DEPARTMENT – Sales

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree is required.3 – 5 years of Transportation sales experience, specifically within Truckload, Dedicated Contract Carriage and/or Food and Beverage transportation experience is a strong plus.Ability to work within a team environment is essential in this role.Chosen candidate must be proficient using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Data Analysis and customer lead generation research and resources. CRM skills are required and essential in this role.CompensationNegotiable
