The Opportunity
The Corporate Alliances team at The Walt Disney Company is looking for a Part Time Senior Financial Analyst to work closely with the Corporate Alliances’ Leadership, Business Development, Alliance Management, International Management and Regional Management to provide support to the decision making process through effectively collecting, analyzing and presenting information to the leadership of the Corporate Alliances organization.

The part time senior analyst will have exposure across numerous business units throughout the Company as part of a team creating and managing highly visible strategic alliance relationships.This position reports to the Director of Finance and Operations.

The Department
Disney’s Corporate Alliances develops and holistically manages highly visible, complex, multi-dimensional relationships with selected brands and companies.The Corporate Alliances team is dedicated to creating incremental value to The Walt Disney Company and its partners through creative development of marketing and sponsorship programs, management of partner and business unit relationships and creation of new partnerships aligned with The Walt Disney Company’s businesses and strategic goals. The Corporate Alliances organization leverages company and partner assets to create value globally for The Walt Disney Company.

The Position
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Assist with the creation of departmental overhead budgets, including working on the Five Year Overhead Plan and the Annual Operating Plan. Budget covers both domestic and international cost centers.
· Monitor actuals on a monthly and quarterly basis and create reports to explain variances to assist department heads in reaching and making key financial decisions.
· Present results to heads of departments and senior leaders of Planning Team on a periodic basis (includes preparing decks and presentations as needed).
· Update overhead forecasts and allocations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
· Assist with the development of new cost allocation methodology and applying that methodology once determined (includes creating the method as well as decks/presentations to pitch the concept to key financial executives throughout The Walt Disney Company).
· Support other general accounting functions as needed such as the creation of job numbers, cost centers, preparation of journal entries, processing of invoice payments, etc.
· Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies.
· Provide financial analysis support on an ad-hoc basis, including discounted cash flow, ROI, cost/benefit analysis, etc.
· Standardize, maintain and continually improve internal processes to support various ongoing functions.
Time permitting, these additional functions would be added:
· Support and help drive the development of the Strategic Plan/Five Year Plan including schedules and documentation
· Develop alternative analytical frameworks for financial reporting and valuation that can be used by Corp Alliances
· Manage the expansion, creation and consolidation of metrics, quarterly reports and databases
· Prepare various decks and presentations for SVP and other senior executives including Mid Year Deck, Simplified Strategic Plan Deck, etc.

The Ideal Candidate
· 3-5 years of relevant work experience – particularly, working in a large, corporate, fast-paced environment.
· Bachelor’s degree required (preferably Finance or Accounting)
· MBA preferred
· Demonstrated advanced analytical, communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to develop and use financial models
· Hands on experience with accounting processes, procedures and internal controls, including accounting and business process knowledge related to financial statements, revenue recognition, account reconciliation, amortization, etc.
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel (computer modeling and spreadsheets).
· Willingness to adapt and learn new skills/approaches and perform in a fast-paced environment.
· Demonstrated ability to complete assignments in a timely manner and with minimal supervision.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Experience working with all levels of management – including senior finance management.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively and clearly communicate financial concepts both orally and in writing.
· Must be available to work up to 29 hours per week throughout the year, with flexibility to go higher (possibly up to as much as 40 hours per week) during months summer and/or other peak times.

Desired Skills
· Previous experience working with SAP, Cognos, Oracle or other large corporate information databases.
· Detail oriented and ability to manage large amounts of data.
· CPA and Big 4 audit experience a plus, but not essential.
· Familiarity with The Walt Disney Company products and service lines or experience with strong brands.
· Experience in a global, multi-business unit company.
