ProMedia Telecom is a growing wireless consulting and engineering services company based in San Diego, CA. We provide engineering expertise to leading wireless carriers, technology developers, and wireless equipment providers around the US and abroad. We currently are looking for a very experienced EVDO expert for an exciting opportunity in San Diego with one of our clients. Job description for this position is as follow: EVDO and CDMA Systems Engineering and Best Practices- develop best practices, test plans, tools and reports for advanced EVDO and CDMA optimization and utilization techniques. Implement new wireless technologies from vendor selection to final rollout. New Technology Technical Training- Develop and provide corporate structured technical training to regional RF Engineering and Network Operations on new technologies, equipment, best practices and techniques. Special Engineering Studies- Presentations to senior management and other decision-makers on market feasibility, new technology decisions, cost-savings initiatives, and other significant business opportunities. Benchmark Testing, Spectrum Clearing and Regulatory Engineering Vendor and process management support- Solid understanding of benchmark data collection and analysis, spectrum clearing analysis and FCC regulation is a requirement. Ability to negotiate with and obtain results from engineering vendors. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering is required 7+ years experience in designing and optimizing wireless networks. Project Management experience 8+ Years of technical or management work experience 8+ years relevant experience at a wireless carrier or wireless network vendor 5+ Years wireless in one of the following Wireless disciplines: 5+ CDMA/EVDO,GSM, UMTS most recently with EVDO Good software development skills and presentation skills
