DESCRIPTION The Sales Information Manager will be a leader within the Regional IT Organization and the Americas Region (US, Canada, Latin America). Primary responsibilities include design, build, debug, and implement tools, applications, and processes that leverage resources, save time, and aid in making critical business decisions with the goal of aligning processes across all Sales Product Groups (SPG) and countries within the region and minimizing maintenance activity requirements while constantly striving to find ways of process improvement. The candidate will perform one or more of the following: research, design, development and/or implementation of computer based control systems. The candidate will also participate in the design phase of new system to help define product features and systems capabilities. The incumbent must have the ability to: design subsystems, develop testdata, monitor subsystem testing, and interface with multiple client contacts, including users, and work independently with minimal guidance and direction from a senior engineer. Primary Responsibilities: Development of new Reports and Tools V Handle ad hoc request for finding ways to interpret the data. Management of existing Reports and Systems - maintaining the current reports and tools. Development and documentation of new tools maintenance requirements. Train the sales organization as needed on systems and tools. Provide recommendations for systems and tools automation, development and implementation. Assist peer Regional IT Managers with reporting, spot checking, and general tool management functions. Act as interim coverage for tools in peer absence or emergency situations Act as subject matter expert for Regional IT systems and tools as well as specific systems and network Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Expert level with Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Excel High level with SAP, GDW, Oracle, Visual Studio, .NET (VB or CS), ASP.Net, XML Web Services, Cognos (Cube Technology), BUDW Detailed knowledge of current systems, technologies and policies. (If external hire, this is not required) Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop technical processes and procedures Thorough knowledge of Visual Basic with Applications Operational knowledge of Relational Databases including maintenance and troubleshooting, hierarchy Qualifications: Degree Required: Information Technology Minimum Equivalent Years: 4 BS degree required Must have good communication skills and the ability to work in a changing environment Capable of short-term assumption of project responsibilities in the absence of senior engineer Will work as part of a project team either at junior or intermediate level SKILLS Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Excel, SAP, GDW, Oracle, Visual Studio, .NET (VB or CS), ASP.Net, XML Web Services, Cognos (Cube Technology), BUDW, and AMM Synectics offers competitive salaries and a full suite of benefits.
