Job Description QA Systems Analyst Location: Reading , PA 19602 ( 2 Openings) Interview Schedule: Phone screen, then personal interview with hiring manager and technical team leaders. Experience Level: Bachelor's degree plus 7-10 years related experience including familiarity with testing automation tools. Description: Responsible for handling the most complex quality assurance and test environment problems and issues. Acts as a lead in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts. Works with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project. Analyzes, tests, and certifies application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents. Uses advanced knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems. Researches new products and industry methodologies and facilitates the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Plans and directs quality assurance schedules and assignments, and monitors project status in comparison to cost/time projections. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects. Documents all phases of QA process. Directs and serves as a mentor to less experienced staff. Job Description: Senior/lead level position for coordination and execution of all quality assurance testing activities related to a project. Resource will need to thoroughly understand the current application infrastructure, understand existing test bed (if any), understand the new requirements and specifications; determine system impacts, scope, complexity and size of testing effort. Resource break down the work for testing team; develop and execute test cases; ensure compliance with testing best practices and standards; report on QA status to the project team and upper management. Position requires the resource to be highly technical. This is not simply a management/coordinator role. Minimum Requirements: Strong verbal and written communication skills. 6 to 10 years experience in the software QA and/or Development, with experience working on 3 or more projects from requirements inception to product release. Experience with testing Web based applications developed in .NET and/or Java technologies. Experience with Windows Server navigation; Experience running batch commands and reviewing output, logs, etc. on the Windows server platform. Strong understanding of SQL Server database and can demonstrate proficiency in constructing/executing SQL queries. Experience with XML and Web services testing (MQ, Tibco, SOAP). Experienced with Mercury Test Management tools ( Quality Center , Test Director) and ClearQuest Defect Tracking tool, or similar defect tracking tools. Proven success in testing large scale, multi-tiered, integrated systems. Project management skills (ensure that ambiguity reviews, test plans, and scripts are complete and accurate and that testing is executed on-time and within budget). Process management skills (insure that testing is performed in a consistent and traceable manner). Strong understanding of Oracle database and constructing/executing SQL queries Experience with UNIX (Sun Solaris/HP) server navigation; Experience running batch commands and reviewing output, logs, etc. on the UNIX platform. Ability to work in cross-functional teams across multiple levels of the organization. Ability to work independently. Ability to multi-task. Education: BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SQL Server performance monitoring/tuning tools. Experience with Oracle database performance monitoring/tuning tools. Financial Services Industry experience.
