MDI is currently hiring for a large, high margin financial servicesfirm located in downtown Atlanta. Our client is a growing financialinstitution that uses small bank customer service with a completefinancial services portfolio. Our client is currently in need of an Information Security Analyst to fulfill a 5 Month contract to hire opportunity in Atlanta, GA. Theposition will interface with end users as well as all levels ofmanagement, technical and business contacts. The position isresponsible for understanding business processes and technology usedwithin the assigned area to ensure that the business is in compliancewith the Client Information Security Policy and applicable procedures,processes and standards. The position is responsiblefor proactively identifying Internet-based, distributed and mainframeapplications as well as third-parties within a business area involvedin the storing and processing of Client data and preparing associatedInformation Security risk assessments. The position requiresinformation technology knowledge and knowledge of information securityrisks in order to perform these risk assessments and assist thebusiness with identifying potential controls. The position isresponsible for understanding Client Policy, procedures, and standardsin order to assist in interpretation and implementation of same. Theposition will be required to provide detailed, high-quality andthorough analysis as well as meaningful recommendations. Skills Required: Analytical skills Strong ability to communicate complicated concepts in writingStrong documentation skills and detail-oriented Ability to evaluate information security controls and identification of potential riskAbility to work in an independent capacityStrong time management skills and the ability to work on numerous projects/activities at the same timeStrong verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with technical and business partnersAbility to effectively communicate with management and peersPresentation skills to conduct Information Security Awareness training sessions Must have 1 of the following: Information Security degree with 3 years information security work experience or A combination of 4 years of information technology work experience and 3 years of information security experience. Audit experience, CISSP, or CISA certifications are a plus.
