NVR Inc. is seeking a highly self-motivated individual to assume the position of Senior Programmer / Analyst in our Corporate Office in Reston, VA.
As a Sr. Programmer / Analyst you will be responsible for:
· Lead the development and administration of the NVR Sharepoint intranet and extranet environments. Architect for Sharepoint, MOSS 2007, WSS 3.0 · Intranet/SharePoint Administration for client and hosted solutions: · Site creation and management · List creation, Workflow, Programmatic Sharepoint data access · Web part addition, configuration, and removal. · System maintenance responsibilities which may include: master page and theme application, permission management, site ownership management, backup and restoration of sites and lists. · Providing timely end user support of web systems, including · Design, code, test, develop and document NVR internal .net applications · Work with users to define system scope and objectives, and to assist in the development of methods and approaches to solve business problems and increase efficiencies. · Analyze system and programming logic and make revisions and optimizations · Program clear and concise solutions to address described problems following NVR coding standards · Assist and mentor other developers, participate in design and code reviews · Comply with stated SDLC model(s), which apply to the NVR system requirements · Other duties as required by business conditions
Skills and Abilities:
· 4+ years of Sharepoint administration and development experience · 6+ years of development experience with .NET, SQL Server, HTML, IIS, VBScript, JavaScript, Visual Source Safe · Database design experience including: stored procedures, table structures and basic administration concepts · Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience preferred · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · Strong interpersonal skills -- sufficient to interact effectively with both business customers and other development teams. · Ability to handle simultaneous projects with changing priorities and deadlines · Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment · Broad technical background including familiarity with recent Information Technology
