Position: Warehouse Shipper
Duration: Temporary
Pay: $10/hr
Location: San Jose, CA 95126
Job summary
This position reports to Logistics Manager and is responsible packaging and shipping customer orders. It is essential that they are savvy and knowledgeable of COMPANY standards to ensure the company is meeting its goals and deadlines.
Summary of essential job functions
Assemble and package finished goods and ship in a timely manner
Sort, scan and label all packages for shipment
Ensure accuracy of shipments
Review orders to ensure quality and completeness; including but not limited to inspecting orders, reviewing product specifications, image quality, and image placement
Operate automated packaging equipment and shipping systems
Complete shipping reports and documents including bill of lading, international paperwork, and end of day processing
Responsible for daily cleaning of the shipping area
Assist on other projects as needed
Minimum requirements
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within shipping
Basic computer skill required
Capable of using a variety of shipping systems (UPS, USPS, and FedEx) and automated packaging equipment
Must have a can do attitude and be able to work well with others
Good English communication skills both verbally and in writing
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Excellent organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail
Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced, high pressure and demanding environment
6 months experience working in shipping preferred
Some overtime hours may be required
Educational requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Abilities required
Able to lift at least 35 lbs.
Ability to use a computer
