Description:
Our client, a major international food manufacturer has a need for a Consumer Affairs Specialist/Front Desk Agent to provide accurate and timely responses to all consumer affairs matters involving International consumer correspondence, and consumer telephone complaints at of volume 70-80 calls per day. This position shares responsibility with the front/desk reception and a desire to fullfill those duties alongside those of Consumer Affairs Specialist is required. Our client also prefers a candidate with a stable work history. Please DO NOT apply unless you have had a minimum of 3 years with each employer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide professional and courteous reception services. This includes answering the main phone line, greeting visitors; advising employees when their visitors arrive and ensuring all visitors sign the visitor log.
• Receive, classify, and accurately respond to all consumer correspondence.
• Answer and respond to all incoming consumer calls in a diligent manner with emphasis placed on resolving matters quickly and follow-up response in writing.
• Collaborate by phone and by written correspondence with food brokers and retail customers to resolve customer complaints.
• Log all information regarding complaints, queries, and miscellaneous contacts into Consumer Affairs system.
• Compile complete and accurate information on all claims and coordinate with FPA/GMA to ensure resolution in a timely manner.
• Draft and revise standard consumer response letters as necessary.
• Notify promptly Quality Assurance of any complaints of a serious nature that may require extensive follow-up work.
• Prepare and submit detailed monthly consumer complaint reports, monitoring levels and trends of complaints.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Customer Service Representative.
• Computer literate in MS Office applications.
• Experience and accuracy in data input.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
