Description:
Performs dimensional inspection on manufactured products and assemblies to engineering documents, specifications verbal and written instructions per the company internal process and standards ISO 9001 and ASME Sec. III Quality Programs. Incumbent functions independently with occasional guidance from the Quality Control Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Inspect materials for conformation to work orders requirements under the quality auditing program
· Perform inspection using visual and dimensional inspection techniques for all products under the ASME Section lll & ISO 9001 Quality Programs
· Document and control the documentation related to Quality Programs requirements
· Accurately and legibly document the acceptance/rejection and produce the related reports
· Work closely with departments in problems aroused with in the departments
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
· Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school degree or equivalent required.
· Ten years’ experience in quality control methodology
· Certified to the ANSI/ASME N45.2.6 and ASME/NQA requirements of a Level ll strongly preferred.
· Blueprint reading, ANSI Y14.5M-1982 geometric tolerance, and versatility in all aspects of inspection technique
· Good math skills required and shop trigonometry preferred.
· Certified Process Auditor
· Basic written and communication skills, good organizational skills required.
· Good software skills required.
· Manufacturing knowledge; Journeyman Machinist helpful experience is preferred.
· The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
