Description:
Strong and detail-oriented laboratory skills in bioassay techniques such as bioreagent preparation and transient transfections. Experience with automated liquid handlers, plate readers, automation software and equipment is preferred. Demonstrates strong skills in conducting quality control, including monitoring performance of bioreagents, robotics and bioassay readers, and measurement of the protein expression levels of stable cell lines. Proficient at tracking bioassay reagents, cell line inventory, and data output. Maintain cell culture facilities, including general maintenance, plating and harvesting of human and rodent cell lines, and primary cells for cell-based assays. Proficiency in general computer skills plus familiarity with databases and specialized analysis tools is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with scientists across functional teams throughout the drug discovery organization is also required. The successful candidate will be self-motivating, have good interpersonal and communication skills, be able to multi-task, be highly organized and be committed to participation as a team member within a multifunctional and cross divisional environment.
