May perform one or more of the following:
Manages people for programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of an internal project into a finished state.
Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets.
Monitors the program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with ''internal customers'' or department personnel.
Organizes project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, such as systems analysts and programmers, providing support and interpretation of instructions/objectives.
Directs the activities of project support staff and sub-contractors and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are allocated and maintained to facilitate the successful completion of the project.
Ensures the ongoing process/system capability associated with projects and manages any changes required to meet or exceed the expectations established in project designs.
All other duties as assigned.
This individual is preferred to have excellent working knowledge of MS project, be financially astute, maintain strong communications both verbally and written with internal and external clients and be able to multi-task affectively within a fast pace, process driven environment.
STRONGLY Prefer experience in healthcare, medicare, medicaid, MMIS, and/or pharmacy POS.
Functional Description:
oOverall owner of the data integration scope of work
oResponsible for ensuring that all requirements (both business and technical) related to data interfaces are captured, and that the resulting interfaces meet those requirements
oResponsible for coordinating with project functional leads to ensure data interfaces meet the functional and technical requirements of the new system
oResponsible for coordinating with the client and project team to ensure data interfaces meet the business requirements outlined in the contract
oResponsible for defining the ultimate scope of work required for data integration
oResponsible for selecting, assembling, and managing the resources assigned to the data integration task
oResponsible for creating estimates and project plans to plan and track progress on the data integration effort
oResponsible for management of the interfaces design effort, and delivery of the design specifications for data integration for approval
oResponsible for management of the interfaces development effort, and delivery of the resultant interfaces to the quality assurance team for testing and delivery
oResponsible for managing the scope and day-to-day operations of the data interfaces team.
oResponsible for tracking progress of the data integration effort, and escalating any key issues or task slippage to the leadership team for resolution
oResponsible for holding regular status meetings with interfaces and leadership team.
oResponsible for publishing weekly progress, status and problems resolution reports regarding data interfaces for management review.
oResponsible for reviewing deliverables prepared by the interfaces team before passing to client/business unit.
oResponsible for ensuring interfaces deliverables, including documentation are complete, current, and stored appropriately and turned over to operations as a complete package including obtaining operational sign off.
oPrepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
oResponsible for minimizing exposure and risk related to data interfaces
oResponsible for keeping the interfaces team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.
oDelivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
oResolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
oUnderstands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Education and Typical Years Experience
Required: 4 year college degree in Business Management, IT or related field
Advantage: PMP certification, Master of Science, CIS.
Special Requirements: Proficient in the use of:
oEPM, Work Plans, MS Office suite, Financial reports
oProject Metrics – EPM or ACS recognized tool
oPossesses general understanding in the all areas of technology and system design.
oUnderstands data integration processes, methodologies, and technologies
oUnderstands database and data integration technologies sufficiently to scope and estimate work effectively
oIdentifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
oManages the process of innovative change effectively.
oEffectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
oMotivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
oKeeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
oMitigates team conflict and communication problems.
oPlans and facilitates regular team activities outside of the office.
oDevelops lasting relationships with client/LoB personnel that foster client ties.
oCommunicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
oContinually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
oBuilds a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives.
oConducts effective performance evaluations and mentors those with less experience through formal channels.
oTrains other innovators and clients through both formal and informal training programs.
oEncourages more junior Innovators to take responsibility for their development within the company.
oSuggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
oReviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.
oFacilitates team and client/business unit meetings effectively
